Why is hoof trimming important?

Keeping your animals’ hooves trimmed is an important aspect of being an animal owner, homesteader, farmer. Healthy hooves are the foundation of a healthy animal. Without regular maintenance, hooves can become overgrown, cracked, or misshapen, leading to pain, poor posture, and even long-term damage to joints and tendons. Keeping them trimmed on a schedule helps prevent these problems if trimming is started at a young age, and if started at an older age we can help reverse some damages, and prevent them from getting worse.
